Willow & Felt-making Courses 2020
Basketmaking is a 10,000 year old craft, and I feel privileged to be able to teach such an amazing and versatile skill to my students. I offer opportunities for beginners and improvers to create both traditional and modern baskets and sculptural forms. From the Welsh Cyntell and Tea Basket to quirky Driftwood Pod Baskets, I can help you develop your skills to achieve what you envisage.
I also specialise in teaching willow sculpture, usually animals, using willow in a very different way, and I have on offer several interesting one day courses throughout the summer.
On my willow courses, I mainly use my own organically grown, hand harvested willow.
On felt making courses, I use my own hand sheared, Blue Faced Leicester wool, plant dyed using dyes from my own garden.
